M r . L i m K i m Y o o k is a highly experienced and versatile trainer with considerable expertise in the design, preparation, administration, and delivery of both technical and soft skills training in Quality and Technical subjects. His core competencies include Quality and Non-Quality Management Systems, Quality Control Circles, QC 7 Tools and New QC Tools, Automotive 5-Core Tools (PPAP, APQP, SPC, FMEA and AIAG & VDA FMEA, and MSA), Supervisory Skills, Train-the-Trainer, and 5S Implementation and Auditing. He is well-versed in regulatory and statutory requirements such as GMP, HACCP, MDA, GDPMD, US FDA, CE Mark, and has extensive knowledge in Social Compliance Management Systems (SA 8000, SEDEX SMETA, WRAP, BSCI, RBA, and amfori BSCI) as well as Road Traffic Safety management System (ISO 39001) and Information Security Management Systems (ISO/IEC 27001).
From his last over 20 years of excellent track record as a instructional designer and master trainer in the earlier mentioned subjects, he has trained, coached and mentored numerous participants, who ranges from Shopfloor members to Board of Directors. In total, he has delivered to numerous companies from various industries and has established himself as a highly- regarded trainer famed for his caliber and efficiency and he has finally authored the 5S into Bahasa Malaysia, i.e., “5S Asas Pengurusan Untuk Semua” (ISBN: 983-2193-01-X) in 2002.
As training goes beyond just classroom knowledge, his vast industrial experiences and know-how will undoubtedly be the key differentiator as a preferred trainer. With his skilful delivery, one can expect to learn deeper understanding of advanced technical topics to be better equipped for the challenges in human resources development.
Certified ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 22000, ISO 13485 and ISO/ TS 16949 Lead Assessor and IATF 16949 Qualified Trainer, he is also a Quality Management Consultant and a Certified Corporate Coach as well as he has been assessed as a competent trainer by PSMB at the PSMB Train-the-Trainer Program; has delivered his expertise in quality management systems, i.e., ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 13485,
Social Compliance (SR10, SA8000, SEDEX, BSCI and RBA), C- TPAT and IATF 16949; to many industries such as GKN Driveline Malaysia Sdn Bhd, Kasatani Advance Technology Sdn Bhd, PPHTeckWah Paper Products Sdn. Bhd., Suzuki Assemblers (M) Sdn. Bhd., BCM Electronics Corporation Sdn Bhd, Farm’s Best Food Industry Sdn Bhd etc.
Furthermore, with his vast experience in coaching and consulting, he had provided his expertise in providing consulting, coaching and mentoring to Silverstone Bhd for their Behaviour-Based Safety program to improve its forklift drivers driving behaviour within 3-months period in 2013.
He has undergone the ARTDO International's Certified Training Professional and PSMB Train-the-Trainer training programs in order to position himself to more competent trainer in his field. In November 2011, he has been recognised by the Ministry of Human Resources, Department of Skill Development as an approved Industrial Expert (PIND) and as a panel consultant for Jawatankuasa Penasihat Pembangunan Kemahiran (JPPK).
Graduated in Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, majoring in Electronic Engineering; Mr. Lim has a vast industrial experience in many industries such as semiconductor, automotive, electronics and diversified into Quality, Engineering and Production areas. With more than 6 years experience at the managerial level in the Quality and Engineering departments, he had lead the Quality Assurance Department for several companies such as Meisei Electric (M) Sdn. Bhd., Taiyo Technology (M) Sdn. Bhd.; and Precico Sdn. Bhd. and Precico M&D Sdn. Bhd. in implementing quality control and quality assurance systems for continual improvement; and also for achieving and maintaining the ISO 9001 Quality Management System. Apart from his major role in Quality Assurance Department; he had provided consultations on quality system to many key departments in his previous companies.
He was an Assistant Engineering Manager at Armstrong Cycle Parts Sdn. Bhd. in which he led the Engineering, Product Development and Maintenance sections. He had developed automotive control cables for Proton, Perodua and Honda cars such as Waja 1.8, Kelisa, Kenari, Kembara, and Civic 1.7. With his know-how, he had set-up the Reliability Test Section and designed the Speedometer Cable Endurance Tester and Gear Shift Endurance Tester (Manual and Automatic Transmissions) for Armstrong Cycle Parts Sdn. Bhd.
In addition, he has architected and delivered his motivational talk such as “Pekerja Alaf Baru” or “New Millennium Workforce”, to improve his clients’ employees’ performances.
Nevertheless, he has undergone for a series of Leadership Development program such as John C. Maxwell’s 360 Leadership, Tom Cranes’s Transformational/ Collegial Coaching, Hershey-Blanchard’s Situational Leadership and in July 2011, he has involved himself in the design and development of leadership development program for Dräxlmaier Group Automotive in Germany. As an international recognised trainer/ facilitator, Mr. Lim had delivered his programs to various multinational companies such as Procter & Gamble, Nestle, Kitamura (S) Pte Ltd, in Vietnam, Thailand, Singapore etc.
